Glenridge Pool Season 2020
Opening Date June 6
(updated 6.10.20)

Pool phone number: 336-765-3252

Throughout Phase 2 of Governor Cooper’s executive order, we will be operating with reduced capacity and online sign-up for particular time slots throughout the week. As regulations change, the Pool Committee and Board will adjust these guidelines accordingly and share them with you via email, updates to the website and signage at the pool.Pool Guidelines:
  • We have set capacity at 40, which includes deck use and in-water use, as the capacity of the interior of the swimming pool is 33. Usage will be evaluated weekly and capacity may be adjusted. This number was determined in consultation with Aquatech, the Fire Marshal and the Pool Committee.

  • To maintain pool capacity, we have established an online reservation system through which households may sign up in advance for three shifts each week; two during the week (M-F) and one during the weekend (Sat. - Sun.). Dates are available on a rolling basis for several weeks at a time.

  • Time slots are:
    10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
    2 p.m. - 5 p.m.
    5 p.m. - 8 p.m. (Sun. - Wed.); 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. (Thur. - Sat.)

    • If a household has used all three shifts in a week and spaces are available at 8 a.m. for a shift that day, they may sign up for additional shifts.

    • Each person in your household who is coming to the pool will use one of the 40 spots.

    • To maintain records for contact tracing, we cannot accommodate walk-ups; all reservations must be made online in advance of coming to the pool.

    • To maximize resident use during this time, we are asking that residents not bring guests to the pool. Caregivers who accompany children to the pool in lieu of parents are allowed, as are grandchildren who are accompanied by a resident grandparent.

    • During this phase, residents must be 14 years old to come to the pool without a guardian.

    • Click here to sign up.

  • Please enter through the front gate using your key card and exit through the back gate (through the fence) upon leaving.

  • When entering and exiting, as well as while at the pool - please maintain appropriate social distancing. The Pool Committee has created 19 socially distanced seating areas on the pool deck and each seating area has been marked with tape. Please do not move the furniture.

  • Private events at the pool or picnic shelters should be postponed. We have chosen to remain consistent with local and state guidelines and will reopen the playground when public playgrounds reopen.

  • All pool cards that have been requested will be delivered in advance of opening day. Once the season starts, replacement cards will incur a fee of $25. If you need new or replacement cards, please email [email protected]

  • We acknowledge that we may have residents who are part of vulnerable populations related to Covid-19; please email the HOA if we may be helpful to you.

  • Detailed pool procedures and guidelines for Phase 2 may be viewed online here. These are subject to change with updated guidance from the Governor’s office and will be updated and shared via email and online as appropriate.

The Board is grateful for the time, expertise and guidance of the Pool Committee. If you have questions or suggestions, you’re welcome to reach out to any of them or contact [email protected].
